Little Kidz Ministry

Metro Children's Ministry is pouring into this emerging generation from birth 'till voting! It's not just childcare. It's about making disciples of Jesus Christ in a modern-day, spirit-filled environment that emphasizes spiritual growth and a relevant relationship with God.

Children's church, Youth Groups and a loving Nursery all are available during Sunday service.

Little Kids Ministry (birth - preschool) The Sacred Garden

Nursery (birth - 18 mos) Bitty Buds

Showing the love of Christ to our smallest members. We nurture Metro babies in a gentle environment filled with lots of love. You might find soft worship music playing in the background and see a lot of cuddling, rocking and silly talking going on. We are praying for and sharing simple scriptures with infants and their families to fulfill the great commission right from the start. (Psalm 8:2 From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise)

Toddlers (18 mos - 2 1/2 yrs) Sprouts

Keeping us on the move, our toddlers worship and learn through storytelling, singing, movement and interaction with object lessons. We work to engage the hearts and minds of children as we train up thoughtful, aware young people who develop a heartfelt connection to God. (2 Timothy 3:15 .and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.)

Preschoolers (2 1/2 - 4 yrs) Wild Vines

Pouring into the littlest saints, our pre-school ministry focuses on relating spiritual truths, the word of God and the application of the Holy Spirit in the lives of these energetic learners. We use fun approaches to ministry that appeal to pre-schoolers without losing the power of the truths we believe. Jesus said, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children." (Matthew 19:14 NLT)

Kidz Ministry

Metro Kidz Ministry is pouring into this emerging generation from Kindergarten through 5th grade. “And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.”
-Mathew 18:5

Vision
Make disciples of Jesus Christ a contemporary, spirit-filled environment that emphasizes spiritual growth and personal relationship with God.

Mission
Create an environment in which children are given an opportunity to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. Kidz ministry is not babysitting, but ministry.

WE BUILD RELATIONSHIP

Metro Kidz Ministry team of volunteers encourages our children to pursue a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior. They teach the children God finds them just as important as adults, and that God is there for them – just like He is for adults.

• Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but
  fellow-citizens with God’s people and member of God’s household,
  built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ
  Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone
  – Ephesians 2:19-20
  
  
• Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me
  in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my
  hope is in you all day long.
  – Psalm 25:4-5
  

TEACH THE BASICS

Metro Kidz Ministry team of volunteers show children the aspects of Christianity. They take the time to build the foundation that will last a lifetime; worship, prayer, tithing, missions, and how to boldly share their faith, positively affecting their friends and relatives who do not know Jesus.

• Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you
  may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the
  Lord is good.
  – 1 Peter 2-3
  
  
• Train a child in the way he should go, and he is old he will not
  turn from it.
  – Proverbs 22:6

PROVIDE THE EXAMPLE

Metro Kidz Ministry team of volunteers allows the children to experience the family of God. For some children, we know it is the only proper example they will see. All Kidz Ministry team volunteers seriously understand the responsibly to God for these children! They are a ministry that leads by example.

• Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or
  seen in me – put it into practice. And the God of peace will be
  with you.
  – Philippians 4:9
  
  
• But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me
  to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung
  around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
